Hi Reader,
Spring is very present here. Lots of work to be done in the garden. If you are planning on growing some of your own foods this year,
now is a great time to start. And, with the rising cost of just about everything... a very good idea!
You can sow peas, beans, radishes, carrots, chamomile directly into the soil. I like to start my butternut, corn, tomatoes, pumpkins and nasturtium in separate containers, then plant them out later.
Don't sow all your seeds at once. If you spread it out over a few weeks, you'll be able to harvest until late fall.
While you're working in the garden, sow some edible flower seeds as well. I wrote an article on the blog about 10 edible flowers to use this summer. They look beautiful in salads, on cakes and other sweets. Go try them, they really add something special.
Don't forget it's Mother's Day this Sunday! :) Looking for a personal, last-minute card? I've got a pretty, watercolor card for Mother's Day in my Etsy shop, now 50% off! You can edit it and put in your own text using Canva.
Enjoy the weekend!
